How it Works
The Behavioral Health Services plan only covers behavioral health services, so there are no medical benefits covered under this plan. Community Health Plan of Washington will work with your Primary Care Physician to coordinate behavioral health care. You’ll have a choice of providers from within the CHPW network.
CHPW covers assessments for mental health services and treatment. This includes counseling, screening for drug and alcohol use disorders, testing, and medications to address mental health symptoms.
Read our Behavior Health Benefit Book for a full list of covered benefits.
If you want to use your mental health or drug and alcohol treatment benefits, talk with your doctor or call our Customer Service line at 1-866-418-1009 (TTY 7-1-1), 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
