The goal of the Employee Mission Committee is to provide our employees with ways to participate in activities that further and champion our mission and values not only internally, but to our members and communities as well. Check out our 2016 activities below or see our archive.

Our 2016 Activities

June

 
  • Community Health Plan of Washington organized a group to volunteer at Pike Market Food Bank. The food bank provides free groceries to more than 525 families and individuals each week. 

May

 
  • Members of our Sales and Marketing team prepared table centerpieces for the Taking a Bite out of Hunger event held by Second Harvest at the Spokane Arena. It is their largest fundraising event and helps them distribute over 2 million pounds of food each month to those in need.

April

 
  • Our Business Process Outsourcing team spent time cultivating, weeding, and planting food with Solid Ground in Seattle! The food will be delivered to King County homeless shelters.

  • Community Health Plan of Washington was a sponsor of Open Arms' 8th Annual Spring Luncheon. Open Arms is an innovative nonprofit dedicated to providing a strong community for women through pregnancy, birth, and postpartum.

  • Community Health Plan of Washington partnered with YWCA Angeline's Women's Center for an event. Angeline's is a safe haven offering services to homeless women in need by offering a place to enjoy a meal, do laundry, shower, store belongings, and receive services that can connect women to necessary resources such as counseling, health care and housing.

  • Our Executive Leadership Team volunteered their time at the Northwest Harvest Cherry Street facility. They were able help clients get food for about 3 hours and organize food for the next shift of volunteers.
